Extend The Christmas Spirit

Everyone enjoys the "Christmas Spirit." It is a time for thinking of others and expressing love through gifts and acts of kindness. However, this year why not extend that spirit of "goodwill" right on into the New Year? Encourage your classes to get together when the holidays are past to put together their "goodwill schedule." It should include projects and events throughout the entire year that will involve services or gifts to others. Examples might be February "care packages" for college students or service men and women who are away from home, a special visit to a nursing home in March, and a spring clean-up day at the church or for a widow who may be happy to have a helping hand in April. At least one event could be planned for each month of the year.
