Bible Scavenger Hunt

Here’s an idea that works well with older children and youth. Hold a "Bible Scavenger Hunt." When playing the game with those who are older and have more knowledge of the Bible, students should be given a list of scavenger hunt items that they must find in the Bible. For example, "a dove." The kids then need to find a verse in the Bible that mentions the article that is being sought. For this example, they might find Genesis 8:12, which tells about Noah releasing a dove. When they find the word in a story, they then write down the book, chapter and verse where they found the word. For those who are younger or don’t know the Bible as well, have them search for the items within just one assigned book or from within a few chapters of a particular book. For the sake of fairness, don’t allow any Bibles with Concordances to be used.
