Kick Off The Fall With A "Sunday School Carnival"
Looking for a way to get more kids from your community involved in your Sunday school? Why not try a "Sunday School Carnival?"
A week or two before you start your new Sunday school year (probably on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon), organize a "carnival" with games, crafts, Bible stories, snacks and more.
Invite all the kids of your community to come to the event for a day of fun and food. While they are there, tell them about Sunday school. Let them know that many of the things you are doing at the carnival are a regular part of Sunday school.
Make sure parents who accompany the kids to the event also receive an invitation to come and be a part of your Sunday school, too.
