Don’t Neglect The Fellowship

Sunday school classes are most effective when the members learn to share with one another, to help one another and to look to one another for support and strength. Such feelings of trust and friendship rarely develop if the class members see each other only one hour a week. Class members must really get to know each other and to do that, you need to provide additional opportunities for class members to be together in situations of fellowship, fun, work, etc.

Rev. Jim Moss, noted Christian education leader from the Harrisburg area, has noted that to remain in a church, a person must have at least 2 friends (other than the pastor) within that church.

If our Sunday schools and churches are to grow and bring in new members, we need to be sure that all of our members develop friendships within our Sunday school.
