Don’t Forget To Say "Thank You" To Your
Sunday School Teachers

When was the last time that your church, Sunday school class or you, yourself, said "thank you" to the teachers and other Sunday school workers of your church? The start of the new year is a great time to plan something special as a way of honoring and thanking these dedicated workers. Here are several ideas:

Hold a "covered-dish meal" at your church to honor your Sunday school workers.

Present each of your Sunday school workers with a "Certificate of Appreciation" or small gift during a time of recognition within your worship service. (Hold it during the worship service so that those people who do not attend Sunday school can see the people who work within the Sunday school and hear of Sunday school’s benefits.)

Urge each Sunday school class to do something special for their teacher during a special "Teacher Recognition Week" that you establish. They might give the teacher a small gift, take him or her and their spouse out to dinner, etc. Parents should be urged to help younger classes to do something special for their teachers, too.
