Keep Abreast Of What’s Available In Christian Video

Today most churches own a TV and VCR. But, how often is the equipment being used? Most churches have the equipment needed to use Christian videos in Sunday school, but too few use the equipment on a regular basis. If your video equipment is starting to gather dust, it’s time to dust it off and get the teachers using it.

The first thing to do is to visit a local Christian bookstore to see all of the many new videos that they have available for sale or for rent. You will find videos for children, messages and spoken word tapes, Christian music videos, Christian movies, packaged lesson courses, teacher training videos and much more.

In urging teachers to use videos, don’t let them use the videos in place of their lessons, but rather as a supplement to the lesson. A good idea is to use a short segment of a video that relates to the lesson and then discuss what has just been seen.
