Involving Youth In Sunday School Through Puppets
One of the criticisms of Sunday school often mentioned by todays youth is that there are too few opportunities for genuine involvement. Teenagers want to feel that they are a part of your Sunday school and its teaching ministry.
One good way to get youth involved is through a Sunday school puppet team. Organize the team or teams within the individual Youth Department Sunday school classes. Take part of the class time to plan and rehearse the programs to be presented. Additional work and rehearsals can be held outside of the Sunday school hour.
Puppet shows that present Bible stories or Christian messages can be presented within the Sunday school to childrens classes, at church parties, etc.
Information about puppets and puppet plays are available from most Christian bookstores.
