Dont Forget the Needs of Others
Your Sunday school or Sunday school class was probably involved in providing help for the needy of your community during the recent holiday season. But, remember, the needs of these persons arent confined only to the Christmas season. With much of the cold winter season still ahead, your Sunday school or Sunday school class might want to consider some additional ways to be instruments of Christs love to the world around you. You might want to have a special event or offering to raise money to give to a local help organization or directly to an individual or family who has a special need. You might also want to get your members involved in a "help day" to cut fire wood or do other chores for a shut-in, elderly person, or someone else with a special need. In Matthew 25, Jesus tells us, "I tell you, whenever you did this for one of the least important of these brothers of mine, you did it for me!" As Sunday school members, we should all be concerned with the needs of others, both their spiritual and their physical and material needs, too.
