It Worked For Us…

Pray For Your Students

By C. B. Haines

Our Sunday school teachers have been challenged to pray for our students on a regular basis. Each teacher was asked to make a set of "prayer cards" for their class and to use the cards as reminders when they pray. We took 3"x 5" index cards and glued a small photo of an individual class member to the card. We then wrote the person’s name and information about the person (information about his or her family, their work or school, problems and concerns they have expressed, etc.) beside the photo. Regular prayer for my students has helped them, and it has really helped me. I have found myself having a greater concern for each student and his or her needs. I have also found that I work harder to prepare my weekly Sunday school lessons and fit it to my students' needs.
