TIME!
By Tim Norton
Time...for God. Why does it seem to pass so slowly some of the time and so quickly at other times? Am I forcing myself to do something that is done out of obligation or do I see time with God for the joy it brings Him and the joy it brings me?
Time...for family and friends. Where does it go so swiftly? How can I capture the time while my child is young and his mother and I are healthy? What will matter in the long expanse of my life if I don't spend time with the most precious to me now?
Time...for doing good for others. Who has time for doing good in the fast-paced life in which we live? How do I know that they really appreciate what I'm doing for them? What if they are only suing me for their own gain?
Time... Consider the ways God speaks to you about the use of your time these days. Might we consider the things that really matter to God and do those with whole-hearted devotion even today?
Time... It seems that the Lord surely knew we'd need a time of rest and so He set aside one day out of seven for Him and for us. If He needed to rest following His work of creation, surely we need rest from our fast-paced lives.
Time...for Sunday...a day of renewal and rest... Take time to worship Him, celebrate Him, rest, enjoy family and friends and seek renewal both spiritual and physical.
